By registering for and attending the QuickBooks Connect event and participating in event activities, such as polls, trivia and/or networking (collectively the “Event”), I hereby agree to release and hold harmless Intuit, Inc. (“Intuit” or “Event Host”), its employees, vendors, agents, service providers, and contractors from any and all alleged and/or actual liability, claims, actions, lawsuits, damages, or losses, of any kind (“Claim”) which may arise out of or result from my registration, attendance at, and/or involvement in the Event. 

COVID LIABILITY WAIVER:

I acknowledge the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the contagious nature of COVID-19.  I further acknowledge that Event Host or any associated entity cannot guarantee that I will not become infected with COVID-19.  I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, Event Host and other attendees.

I voluntarily seek services provided by Event Host and any associated entity, including event sponsors, and acknowledge that I could be increasing my risk of exposure to COVID-19 by attending the Event. 

I hereby release and agree to hold Intuit and any related entity harmless from, and waive on behalf of myself, my heirs, and any personal representatives any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses and compensation for damage or loss to myself and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act from Event Host or associated entity, or that may otherwise arise in any way in connection with any services received from Event Host and any associated entity at the Event. I understand that this release discharges Event Host and any associated entity from any liability or claim that I, my heirs, or any personal representatives may have against Intuit with respect to any bodily injury, illness, death, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to the Event. This liability waiver and release extends to the Event Host together with all associated entities.

I acknowledge that Intuit, in its sole discretion, retains the right to modify any on-site mandates in response to COVID-19 to promote the safety of attendees and staff. I also acknowledge and agree to adhere to any on-site preventative measures such as mask wearing and on-site testing.

Publicity Release:

I understand that Event Host or its authorized representatives may conduct interviews and may capture statements, photos and/or videos of me during the Event. 

I hereby grant to the Event Host and its authorized representatives the absolute right and permission to use my name, initials, likeness, profile or biographical information, company, organization or firm name, voice, statements made, content of any interview, image and/or photograph and any other indicia of persona (“Persona”), either alone or accompanied with other material, in any manner and in any media, throughout the world for trade, advertising, social and/or promotional purposes. 

I agree I shall have no rights of review or approval, no Claim to compensation, and no Claim arising out of or resulting from the use, alteration, blurring, distortion or illusionary effect (whether intentional or otherwise) or use in any composite form of my Persona and agree to release and hold Event Host and its authorized representatives, including trusted service providers, harmless for any and all such use(s).  

I agree that any statements made by me are true and accurately reflect my honest opinion of and experience in the Event and/or Intuit’s products, services and programs and that I will promptly notify Intuit if my opinion changes and Intuit may opt, at its sole discretion, to cease using any materials with my Persona.

Use of Your Information:

I understand that information provided in the Event registration form may be used by Event Host or shared with Intuit’s trusted service providers who provide the physical and virtual or web-enabled functionality of the Event experience to distribute or send any Event materials or swag via post, email or other shipment methods and as may be applicable, continuing education credits (CPE) earned at Event.

I agree that Event Host may use my email address to send Event updates, invitations to offers and promotions (e.g., drawings or giveaways), and survey evaluations. The Event Host may also use my email address to send marketing-related messages and invitations to future Intuit events. 

I understand I am responsible for updating my profile preference (e.g., name, company, job title), and I can cancel my registration at any time subject to the Event Cancellation and Refund Policy.

Chat:

I understand that Event Host, in its sole discretion, may make networking chat (“Chat”) functionality available from the Event platform. Such Chat functionality allows registered attendees to create and display a profile in the Event directory and to chat with an attendee and/or group during the Event. Chat is optional and it is the attendee’s choice to use and/or accept (or block) invitations sent by Event attendees. By using Chat, the platform allows Event attendees to view each other’s profile. I understand that I am responsible for my profile content, and acknowledge that any content of individual and/or group chat is not moderated by Event Host.  Any misuse and/or inappropriate behavior in Chat may be grounds for account deletion. The Event platform may be available through one or more apps for a compatible desktop computer or mobile device. I acknowledge and agree that I am solely responsible for any applicable changes, updates and fees as well as complying with the provisions of my telecommunications provider and any third-party mobile app agreements.

Intuit Policy:

Furthermore, I agree to comply with Event Host’s policy that attendee information made available to me pre/during/post Event will not be used by me for any marketing purposes; and that Intuit may, in its sole discretion:

• reserves the right to deny attendance or registration to any individual or entity for any reason;
• Close Event registration earlier than the posted deadline; and
• Change the Event program day and time.
